Luncheon Seminar

“To embrace diverse values – drawing on minority experiences”

Diversity aims to realize a society in which everyone can demonstrate their individuality and ability by mutually respecting differences in gender, nationality, age, values, etc., in order to actively utilize diverse human resources. Universities and companies are working on implementing diversity policies. Are these in place in your environment? Minorities (social minorities) may face various problems which the majority does not recognize.
In the luncheon seminar, we have invited men, women and foreigners who are minorities in their work environment as panelists. They will frankly talk about useful institutions related to diversity, ways of overcoming difficulties, and fruitful experiences gained from being a minority.
Spanning diversity in academia creates a basement of embracing variety and new ideas that are not tied to traditional values. We hope that the seminar will provide a good opportunity for us to recognize the importance of spreading diversity values and to think of how to further it.
We welcome everyone, irrespective of gender, nationality, age, affiliation. Please feel free to join us.
