Notes for oral presentation

  1. General oral presentations should be finished around 15 min (bell will ring around 12 and 15 min). Total time including presentation, discussion, and changing should be finished within 20 min.
  2. The maximum allowed number of oral presentations from one laboratory:
    (i) three Japanese talks,
    (ii) one English talk + three Japanese talks,
    (iii) two English talks + two Japanese talks,
    (iv) three English talks + one Japanese talk, and even
    (v) four English talks.
    (vi) If one of speakers would be a foreign people, the group can have one more English talk. In this case, total number of talks could be five.
  3. Please understand that some of the oral speakers might be asked to present a poster, depending upon the total number of oral presentations of this symposium. In such a case, we appreciate if you accept the condition requested by the organizing committee.
  4. Oral talks from the same group can be involved in the same session in the requested order if requested during abstract submission. If you request to combine some of the talks related with each other, please indicate the requested order of them together with the total number of the talks that are requested to be combined within the same session.
  5. All the presenter should use LCD projector with powerpoint or keynote. Please care about using English as a language to prepare the presentation.
  6. Bring your own computer for your presentation. Every three or four presentations will have one session with 5 min break for the connection of computers. For the case of the trouble for computer connection, please take the presentation data with USB memory or CD- or DVD-ROM strage.
  7. JSCC student lecture award: You must have the JSCC membership or the student membership of JSCC if you apply for this award. You must be either a student or a postdoctoral fellow. A research associate cannot apply for this award. The total number of applicants from the same group must not exceed 1.

Notes for poster presentation

  1. Please put your poster after 10AM for the first day session and after 1PM on the second day for the third day session. A poster board with the size of 90 cm width and 210 cm height will be provided to each presenter.
  2. Poster Award for Young Scientists at Annual JSCC symposium: You must have the JSCC membership or the student membership of JSCC if you apply for this award. You must be either a student or a postdoctoral fellow. A research associate cannot apply for this award. The total number of applicants from the same group must not exceed 1. Those who have once won this award cannot apply for it again.
  3. Poster presenter should present their research results during 13:00-14:00 (first day) or 9:00-10:00 (third day) with even poster number or during 14:00-15:00 (first day) or 10:00-11:00 (third day) with odd poster number. However, applicants for poster award should spend all the time (2 hours) for poster presentation. If the presenter was not available when the reviewer came, the poster would not be reviewed. Names for poster awardees will be announced on the bulletin board around registration desk. All the poster awardees will be invited to the banquet with free of charge.
  4. Just after finishing the poster session, all the posters are required to be removed.
