This department will comprehensively study and acquire knowledge in physical chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and biochemistry, all of which are the fundamental studies of chemistry. Synthetic chemistry, biotechnology, material chemistry, and polymer chemistry then will be dealt with to acquire various practical skills from an engineering viewpoint.

After graduation, many obtain research personnel positions in many private enterprises (chemistry/materials, food/medical goods, electric/electronics, automobile-related, etc.), national/local institutions, universities, etc. as humans have expanded their visual fields and developed new mental, as well as collective, capacity based on chemistry. In recent years, basic fields in chemistry and biotechnology have expanded, and graduates actively participate in all industries.
