Overview of Research

We are trying structural analysis of novel nano-carbon materials, such as highly-aligned carbon nanotube and graphene using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM). We also attempt the development of the mass-production method of those nano-carbon materials and the application to the environmental and energy fields.

Research Subjects

  • Fabrication of ultra high-density carbon nanotube film and its application for the high-performance secondary battery and heat-release devices
  • Development of homogeneous nano-carbon materials and the structural analysis of them using high-resolution TEM
